How much does shipping cost?
Within Germany, shipping costs €3.95 and is free on orders of €50 or more. To the EU, it costs €6.95 up to 1 kg (€14.95 above that) and is free from €100. To the United Kingdom and Switzerland, it costs €9.95 up to 1 kg (€29.95 above that) and is free from €150. To Canada, Mexico, Japan, and Australia, it costs €19.95 up to 1 kg (€49.95 above that) and is free from €200. To the USA, it costs €29.95 up to 1 kg (€59.95 above that), with customs duties and import charges already included. To all other countries, it costs €19.95 up to 1 kg (€49.95 above that). We ship worldwide.
Will I pay customs or taxes on international deliveries?
Not within the EU. For deliveries outside the EU, for example to Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Mexico, or Japan, import taxes and customs duties may apply in the destination country. You pay these directly to the carrier or the customs authority on delivery. They are not included in the price. How much they are depends on the country and the value of the goods. Exception USA: there we pay customs duties and import charges for you in advance, and they are already included in the shipping price.
How fast will my order arrive?
Within Germany in 3 to 5 business days, in the EU and Switzerland in 3 to 10 business days, and in all other countries in 14 to 21 business days. Customs clearance in the destination country can add a few days.

Can I return something?
Yes, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal. Items made to your specifications are excluded. You'll find all details in our withdrawal policy.
Traditional jewelry
What is a charivari?
The charivari is a decorative chain that men wear with their lederhosen, hooked across the front flap onto the two outer buttons. Charms such as horn tips, animal teeth, or coins hang from it. For the dirndl, there are more delicate dirndl charivaris, worn on the bodice or the apron.
What is a Kropfkette?
The Kropfkette (choker necklace) is made of several fine chain strands, is worn close around the neck, and is a classic with the dirndl. Our choker necklaces have an extension so they fit well. The Kropfband sits the same way but is made of velvet ribbons with a slide.
Where does the apron clasp go?
The apron clasp closes the apron ribbon at the front of the dirndl. When buying, check the bar width so your ribbon fits through.
What do I need bodice hooks for?
Bodice hooks are sewn on in pairs on the left and right front of the bodice. The bodice chain is laced through them, holding the bodice together and decorating it at the same time.
What button size do I need?
The easiest way is to measure the diameter of your old button. If you don't have one, measure the length of the buttonhole: the button should be one to two millimeters smaller. For many buttons, you choose the size right on the product page.
Is your jewelry handmade?
We make buttons, apron clasps, and bodice hooks in Upper Bavaria, and many parts are soldered by hand. Plating is done in our own electroplating shop. We assemble and inspect our jewelry in Bad Endorf.

Who is behind the Trachtenschmuck-Manufaktur?
We are the Kube family from Bad Endorf in the Chiemgau region. Under the name Trachtenschmuck Stephan, our family has been making traditional jewelry, buttons, and haberdashery since 1949. In 2020 we founded the Trachtenschmuck-Manufaktur so you can order directly from us.
Can I meet you at a market?
We regularly attend traditional dress and craft markets. There are no dates scheduled right now. You'll find new dates on our Markets & Events page.

Do you offer volume discounts for clubs?

Do you also make custom pieces?
Yes. Because we produce in Upper Bavaria, we can take on special requests, from small runs to several thousand pieces. Tell us what you need.
